Founding networks
Our ideas contest – for you.
The founding networks at the participating universities support innovative startup projects and provide services to all university members and alumni who are interested in starting a business.
Charité - Universitätsmedizin
The technology transfer office of the Charité - Universitätsmedizin Berlin has been working in partnership with Profund Innovation (FU Berlin) in promoting start-ups. The partnership leads to a more effective use of resources. On the one hand, Profund Innovation advises Charité founding teams, accompanies and supports their applications for funding, offers qualification and provides networks and office space. On the other hand, spin-offs from Freie Universität Berlin benefit from the specialist knowledge of the Charité innovation scouts, who specializes in life sciences, and can get in touch with other experts, for example for clinical studies.

In our activities to support innovation, we work with scholars, scientists, and researchers to explore the application potential of their research and consult on what the most suitable path of commercialization is.
Centre for Entrepreneurship
The Centre for Entrepreneurship at TU Berlin supports its members by offering a broad range of individual services for business startups and has a proven record of selective screening and close supervision. Individuals interested in entrepreneurship are advised and mentored by experts and complete a practical qualification programme. Additionally, they are mentored by professors and have access to internal and external partners. Further support includes guidance with regard to grant applications, as well as access to equipment and facilities.
Digital Entrepreneurship Hub
From Lifescience through Programmatic Advertising to Digital Publishing – hardly any entrepreneurial field of action is not influenced by the use of digital technologies. The Digital Entrepreneurship Hub (DEH) reflects the influences of “digital transformation” on central areas of society. These include in particular the digitalization of entrepreneurial activity in almost all sectors, its influence on diversity, but also changes in university teaching (“e-/blended learning”) and research (“e-research”). The DEH is the central point of contact for entrepreneurship education and research at Freie Universität Berlin.
The DEH systematically promotes the exchange between research at the FU Berlin and start-up ecosystems in Berlin, the EU and worldwide.
At the interface between #digitalization and #entrepreneurship with direct research relevance, the DEH is unique in Berlin.
